Gaithersburg, Maryland – May 25, 2025 – In celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, the U.S.-China Association of Commerce (USCAC) proudly hosted the 2025 AANHPI Youth Leadership Scholarship Ceremony on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Sunshine Center in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This annual event honors the outstanding achievements of AANHPI youth in the areas of community service, academic excellence, and leadership.
Shining Youth, Dignified Ceremony
The event opened with the U.S. national anthem, followed by welcoming remarks from Dr. Tang Wei, professor at Georgetown University and Chair of the 2025 Scholarship Committee. Dr. Meirong Liu, Professor at Howard University and Director of the USCAC Education Department, then delivered an inspiring speech.

On May 7, 2025, the United States-China Association of Commerce (USCAC) welcomed a delegation from the Beijing Education Commission to Washington, D.C. The two sides engaged in a productive discussion on strengthening U.S.-China educational cooperation and expanding opportunities for student exchange.
During the meeting, the delegation introduced the "Study in Beijing" initiative, highlighting Beijing’s strengths in international education, including its world-class universities, supportive policies, and a dynamic, globally connected academic environment. The program invites American students to pursue academic and cultural experiences in Beijing.
The USCAC also presented an overview of the Washington, D.C. region’s rich educational resources and shared past successes in facilitating partnerships between U.S. and Chinese institutions.
Both parties agreed that education remains a powerful bridge for mutual understanding and long-term collaboration. They expressed a shared commitment to expanding cross-cultural exchange and fostering the next generation of global leaders through programs like "Study in Beijing."
The USCAC will continue to serve as a key platform for connecting government, business, and academic sectors to support and promote impactful U.S.-China educational initiatives.

On the evening of March 9, 2025, the United States-China Association Of Commerce (USCAC ) held its 2025 LUNAR NEW YEAR GALA in Gaithersburg, brining together entrepreneurs , chamber members ,and distinguished guests to celebrate the successes of the past year and explore new opportunities for future collaboration.A Festive of Evening of Celebration and NetworkingThe event officially began at 5:00PM, with guests arrived, checked in, and took photos. At 5:45PM, a traditional lion dance performance symbolizing good fortune and prosperity set a festive tone for the event.At 6:00 PM, hosts Chris Max and Jessica Guo officially commenced the gala, welcoming attendees and providing an overview of USCAC's history and mission. Following the opening remarks, the event featured a review video highlighting the remarkable milestones and accomplishments achieved by the chamber and its members. The video showcased its efforts in promoting U.S.-China trade, cultural exchange, and community development. Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of China's National Day and the 45th Anniversary of China-U.S. Diplomatic Relations

On the evening of September 22, 2024, a grand banquet was held in the Greater Washington, D.C. area to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and 45th anniversary year of the establishment of China-U.S. diplomatic relations.
The banquet was co-hosted by Chris Max, a well-known local host in the Washington, D.C. area, and Jennifer Wan, a young representative from the local community. As the guests arrived, 62 talented young musicians from American Chinese School performed a grand and stirring welcome set. Accompanied by these touching and recognizable melodies, guests entered the venue in an orderly manner, signed in, and added their names to the event’s signature wall and took photos as well.

On August 31, 2024, major Chinese community organizations in the Washington D.C. area jointly held the 22nd Washington Chinese Cultural Festival on Pennsylvania Avenue, D.C.
Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng and his wife Wang Dan, Minister Qiu Wenxing, as well as President of the U.S.-China Business Council Craig Allen, representatives of D.C. and Maryland and local dignitaries attended the opening ceremony. U.S. President Joe Biden, Governor of Maryland Wes Moore, Mayor of D.C. Muriel Bowser, Federal Senators Chris Van Hollen and Mark Warner, and Federal Representatives Jamie Raskin and David Trone sent congratulatory letters.[...]
