At the US-China Business Council Chinese New Year Dinner held on February 12, 2024, guests from all walks of life gathered together to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Dragon. The event started at 6:30 pm with a lively lion dance performance, which added a strong traditional Chinese New Year atmosphere to the dinner and attracted the attention of everyone present.

During the opening ceremony, the representative of the US-China Business Council extended sincere greetings and best wishes for the New Year to every guest present with warm words. Mr. Li Qili, President of the US-China Business Council, delivered a speech, thanking all members for their support and the hard work of the staff. The dinner also invited distinguished guests including the Embassy's Minister Counselor and Consul General Zhu Di, Consul Xue Chunmei, Consul Zhang Zhang, and Maryland Chief Administrative Judge Chung Pak to attend and deliver speeches. They said that they were grateful for the arrival of each guest, making the theme dinner of "Dragon Soaring in the Prosperous Era, Creating Brilliance Together" more lively and extraordinary. On this special night, everyone not only celebrated the arrival of the traditional Chinese New Year, but also welcomed new hopes, opportunities and challenges together, truly embodying the meaning of a new year and a new atmosphere.

In their opening remarks, they reviewed the major activities and achievements of the US-China Business Council in the past year, such as hosting physical experience sharing sessions, receiving visits from multiple provincial and municipal government delegations, and launching the first Asian American Youth Community Leadership Scholarship Program, etc. They emphasized how the Chamber of Commerce has made substantial contributions to its members and the community through various services and support. Behind these achievements, it is inseparable from the strong support of members and the hard work of staff, showing the spirit of collaboration and dedication of the Chamber of Commerce team.

Afterwards, the dinner officially entered the dining session. At this moment, not only did the delicious food become a common enjoyment for everyone, but the atmosphere of friendship and reunion also made this dinner an unforgettable and beautiful memory. By sharing the food, the participants tasted the sweetness of friendship and reunion on this special night.

One of the highlights of the event was the lucky draw, which was not only to thank the guests for their support of the Chamber of Commerce, but also brought extra joy and surprise to the dinner. Ms. Michelle, Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce, personally took the stage to host the wonderful lucky draw. The guests held their lucky draw numbers tightly, looking forward to becoming the lucky winners. As the awards were announced one by one, the scene was filled with applause and laughter, adding countless beautiful moments to the dinner. Afterwards, the dinner entered free time, allowing guests to communicate and continue to enjoy delicious food. In addition, a silent auction was held at the dinner, adding a special sense of excitement to the event.

As the clock pointed to 10:30, the dinner gradually came to an end. In the closing remarks, the US-China Chamber of Commerce expressed deep gratitude to all guests and sponsors, as well as the dedication of our famous American Chinese band "Zero Distance Band"! Throughout the event, their team brought the event into another beautiful interactive atmosphere with beautiful rhythms and varied singing. President Li once again emphasized that everyone's support and participation are the key to the Chamber of Commerce's brilliant achievements.
